Its been a very busy week for the team at Ben Reid. Simon has been on a buying trip and a lot of it arrived this morning. We are now ready for you to come and see what you need to make your garden a thing of beauty during these testing times; with the selection we’ve had come in, you could even consider to grow your own fruit and veg.
The first batch of this seasons fruit trees are here. Fruit trees are a great way to sustainably grow your own fruit; this can include apples, pears and plums. Grow the fruit and make your own pies, desserts or just for a healthy snack. With the current circumstances with Covid-19, planting and growing your own fruit tree could become a great little project for yourself or for those of you who have children who are being home-schooled. Create your own biology lessons.
The autumn bedding and veg has been topped up and a trolley of house plants wad delivered today. Again, plant and grow your own veg is a great idea to teach your children, and grandchildren about sustainable living and how plants grow. Wait until you see their little faces when their first carrot or potato starts to sprout. They will be so proud to eat their own vegetables knowing they’ve grown them, you won’t have to black mail them this time!
